Aging immigrants in the Greater Montreal Area today are at risk of social isolation and precarity. Several barriers can explain this, such as rising property values, reactions to ethnic diversity, and neighbourhood gentrification. In light of this situation, researchers from Montréal, Sherbrooke, and Concordia Universities have come together to learn more from institutional and community stakeholders about the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion within aging immigrant populations.
Polygon will assist this team of researchers by providing their Concept Mapping (CM*) tool and integrating a module to collect existing community and solidarity action programs in diverse neighbourhoods.
Our tools will help researchers explore solutions to foster inclusion in aging populations, particularly aging immigrant populations, across the Greater Montreal region.
